April 14, 2014

Our Seder, 7:30 pm (5th floor, Bronfman Center) - Jewish history is a timeless present - Passover is an event in which we participated then and in which we continue to participate. It is our own storey, and this is our seder. Join us as we celebrate the diverse beauty in our traditiona, retell our people's history, and illuminate its meaning to us today.

Four Cups, 7:00 pm (2nd floor, Bronfman Center) - An interactive, theatrical blend of a Greek symposium and a New York salon. Wise, evil, simple, and silent children are all invited. Produced in conjunction with the Playwrights Studio.

Traditional Seder, 8:00 pm (1st floor, Bronfman Center) - Join Rabbi and Aliza Black for a warm, traditional seder just how Bubbe served it.

April 15, 2014

Exodus: NYU's Annual Queer Seder, 7:30 pm (Kimmel Center Room 914) - Passover is all about yetziah -- literally "coming out": coming out of slavery and into freedom, out of oppression and into responsibility, out of hiding and into the bright light of the desert. Whether you're Jewish or not, queer or not, come and be an ally for freedom at the Bronfman Center's annual Queer Seder. Dedicate four cups to the experience of coming out. Participate in a not-quite-traditional ritual. Talk. And enjoy a very special performance by members of Isle of Klezbos, the all-gal klezmer band.

Traditional Seder, 8:00 pm (1st floor, Bronfman Center) - We know you're exhausted from last night and don't want a late one...this uplifting-yet-somewhat-swift seder is led by Rabbi Gideon and Aliza Black.
