Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks at NYU
We are honored to have Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks visit NYU this semester. A global religious leader, philosopher, author and moral voice for our time, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks served as Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth between September 1991 and September 2013, only the sixth incumbent since the role was formalized in 1845.
Mark your calendars!
In the Center’s first floor gallery and exhibition space, outstanding student artists showcase their work, host opening receptions, and organize educational workshops and guest speakers. The gallery, located on the first floor of the Bronfman Center, is a charming space in a historic brownstone, which is visited by hundreds of students and faculty members each month.
Notable past exhibits have included student photographs from Houston, Texas after Hurricane Katrina & a traveling exhibition of children’s drawings from Darfur in partnership with Human Rights Watch. Our space has received coverage the front page of the NY Times Art Section, ABC News, CNN International and News Hour.
