Purim @ the BC
The story of Purim, recorded in the Book of Esther, recounts Esther saving the Jewish people from the threat of destruction by Haman, the grand vizier in Persia. We observe the holiday by reading the megillah (a scroll of the book of Esther), often in a theatrical manner, while wearing costumes; sharing a festive meal with family and friends; sending mishloach manot, gifts to family and friends; and distributing matanot l'evyonim, gifts to those in need. We hope you'll join the festivities at the Bronfman Center!
We know that many students will be away for Spring Break this Purim, but if you’re in town, we are excited to celebrate with you!
